Define major and minor defects with photographs, not adjectives. 'Scratched' means nothing in a dispute; a 3mm visible surface mark at arm's length does.
Set AQL 2.5 for major and 4.0 for minor on general merchandise, and name the inspection agency in the agreement.
State explicitly who pays return freight on a failed inspection before you place the first order — never after.
